Payment Plans at the Lot
Tony’s Cars is licensed by the State of Texas to finance your purchase directly. You agree on the down payment and terms with Tony, and you make your payments here. There’s no outside lender.

You don’t need perfect credit to buy a car here. Come in and talk to Tony. What he looks at is listed below.
No Runaround
Ask anything about a vehicle and you’ll get a plain answer. Tony has sold cars to some of the same Tyler families for decades.
Before You Drive Out
Tony finances these cars himself, so it’s his money on the line.
- Where you live and work. You make your payments here at the lot, so we sell to people who live and work in Smith County. A utility bill or a lease with a Smith County address is enough. If you’re just over the county line, call and ask first.
- Steady income you can show us. Most of our buyers have been at the same job about a year. Pay stubs work. So does Social Security, disability, VA, a pension, child support, self-employment or part-time work. If it comes in every month and you can show it, bring it.
- A photo ID. A Texas driver license or a Texas ID card, either one. Whoever drives the car off the lot has to be licensed and insured — that’s state law, not our rule. If that’s not you, bring somebody who is. You can still buy the car.
- A down payment. How much depends on the vehicle. Tell Tony what you can put down and what you can pay a month, and he’ll tell you whether it works.
Tony looks at every deal himself. He can’t approve everybody, but you’ll get an answer either way. If you’re close on any of this, call (903) 593-9554 before you drive out. He’d rather tell you over the phone than have you make the trip for nothing.

Thirty Years on Palace Avenue
Tony Bisagno opened Tony’s Cars in 1994 at the corner of South Palace Avenue and West Elm Street, a few blocks west of the courthouse square in downtown Tyler. More than thirty years later, the lot is still on that corner, and the phone number hasn’t changed.
It’s a small operation on purpose. There’s no sales floor and no commission staff; when you buy a car here, you buy it from the owner. Some customers have bought their last several cars from Tony, and many more were sent here by a friend or relative who bought one first.
Not much about how Tony does business has changed either. Ask your questions and you’ll get honest answers, and nobody here is going to pressure you into the wrong car.
